There is also a mention of the Minneapolis Police Force efforts to curb car thefts. The segment states that car thefts are down by 30% in that city. As reported in our Press Release dated March 7, 2006, Dallas Texas' Regional Auto Theft Tracking & Law Enforcement Response (RATTLER) bait vehicle initiative has resulted in over 100 arrests and over 60 convictions as of January 31, 2006. The arrestees have a combined total of 428 prior arrests demonstrating the success of bait vehicle programs in apprehending experienced thieves. As of December 31, 2005 auto-thefts in Dallas were down 10.52%. So far during January of 2006, auto theft is down 18.87%, during a month that traditionally has the second highest auto theft rates.
