D-BOX Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: DBO.A) announced today that it is premiering its video game technology at the Game Developers Conference 2006 (www.gdconf.com), which is being held in San Jose, California, from March 20 to 24, 2006.
Conference participants will have the opportunity to try the prototype D-BOX gaming chair to play Flight Simulator and Vilain Design's Heart Attack games, the latter being an off-road racing game through mountains that makes players feel as though they are truly part of the action. D-BOX technology adds a unique dimension to the player's experience, by integrating motion perfectly synchronized to the on-screen action. In fact, it very precisely reproduces all the effects and motion associated with the action, which is unique to D-BOX.
"This is our first video game trade show," said Philippe Roy, Chief Technology Officer of D-BOX Technologies. "The objective in participating in this conference is to demonstrate our capacities in the video game industry, raise our profile with market leaders, and ultimately, form strategic alliances that will help us market our technology as quickly as possible."
Mr. Claude Mc Master, President and Chief Executive Officer of D-BOX Technologies added: "As I mentioned recently, industry leaders are constantly in search of innovative products that will set them apart and help them stand out from the competition. In fact, the sale of our first gaming chair prototypes to a multinational a few weeks ago is a perfect example of this. Our technology can be a huge competitive advantage for the video game industry, bringing the new dimension of motion simulation to home entertainment. As in the home theatre market, our marketing strategy here is primarily to forge alliances with leading strategic partners. Once again, this strategy will enable us to accelerate the deployment of our technology internationally, which should generate significant economic benefits for D-BOX."
