FuelQuest, Inc. announced today that its founding partners Richard Cilento, CEO, and Douglas Haugh, COO, received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year(R) award in the Energy Technology category for the Houston and Gulf Coast region.
"Entrepreneur Of The Year is a very prestigious award that Doug and I consider to be a testament to our employees and their families who have contributed both professionally and personally to our vision over the years," said Cilento. "This is a reward for our hard work, but also serves as a reminder that the best is yet to come."
Six years ago, Cilento and Haugh founded FuelQuest in Houston, with a simple and straightforward vision: to be the industry standard solution and network for petroleum supply chain optimization and fuel tax automation technologies. Further, Richard and Douglas's goal for the company is providing a holistic view of the supply chain, which was non-existent in the industry when this company originated.
FuelQuest has realized its vision and has become the industry standard for its fuel management services and fuel tax capabilities. It is acknowledged in the retail and energy markets-evident by retaining such clients as Sam's Club/Wal-Mart, Circle K, 7-Eleven, UPS, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Shell and others.
"I am truly honored to be recognized for the accomplishments our team has achieved in our brief history," said Haugh. "It has been fulfilling to see our team's vision materialize, and this highly-coveted award will propel us to an even more successful future as we continue to attract top-tier customers and employees."
Now celebrating its 20th year, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year is the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. Recognized globally, the award honors the most outstanding entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership, and achievement. Cilento and Haugh are now eligible for the National Entrepreneur Awards, held in Palm Springs in November 2006.
