Huaqin, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Shanda, a
Nasdaq listed company, to market a new generation of integrated and
interactive home entertainment product called EZ Pod.
Shanda is the largest operator of online games in China, with 460 million
registered accounts and 18.5 million active paying customers. While online
games are primarily played in the internet cafes in China, the EZ Pod is
designed to capture China's 100 million internet users at home and 400
million TV sets in the living rooms. Hartcourt, being the dominant
consumer computer distributor, has the distribution capability and
financial resources to bring EZ Pod to the 20 million consumers in
Shanghai. "This is a strategic partnership between Shanda and Hartcourt,"
said Li Zheng Zheng, president of Huaqin. "It expands our product
portfolio, synergizes with our existing distribution channel, and it will
significantly improve our profitability."
EZ Pod, with a simple remote control, connects home users to Shanda's
interactive, comprehensive entertainment content, which includes movies,
music, games, news, online shopping, lifestyle information and educational

into one," continued Li Zheng Zheng. "This creative product gives consumers
a brand new experience of home entertainment, and we expect there is great
demand for EZ Pod."
