Leadis Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: LDIS), a mixed-signal semiconductor developer of display driver ICs for small panel color displays, today announced the appointment of Robert Fang as Vice President of Operations, effective immediately. Dr. Fang will reside in Taiwan and manage Leadis' operations organization, including relationships with wafer foundries and backend test and assembly vendors, planning and logistics. Dr. Fang will report to Dr. Ken Lee, Executive Vice President and COO of Leadis. Dr. Fang is a semiconductor industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience.

"This move, which puts our senior operations management in close proximity to key vendors, will allow us to better respond to our customers' requirements and the market dynamics associated with our business."
Prior to joining Leadis, Dr. Fang served as Vice President of Operations of XGI Technology, Inc., a privately-held semiconductor company engaged in the development and manufacturing of graphics processors. In this position, Dr. Fang was responsible for managing the product engineering and manufacturing of high-speed 3D graphic ICs. From 2000 to 2003, Dr. Fang served as Vice President of Operations at Divio Inc., until the company's acquisition by ESS Technology. From 1989 to 2000, Dr. Fang served in a number of capacities at C-Cube Microsystems, most recently as Director of Technology. Prior to 1989, he held technical positions with Data General Corporation and Hewlett-Packard IC Lab. Dr. Fang holds a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, and masters and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
