(«OnPoint»), a leading e-learning software and performance solutions provider for corporate customers, announced today it has completed the delivery and installation support for an enterprise Learning Management System («LMS») for Asiasoft (M) Sdn. Bhd, («Asiasoft»), OnPoint's far east reseller partner and affiliate. OnPoint's software serves as the foundation for a complete e-learning and training management platform for Asiasoft's customer -- the Royal Malaysian Police Force («RMP»). The enterprise installation, deployed on Fujitsu PrimePowertm UNIX servers running the Sun Solaristm operating system, supports seventeen RMP training centers across Malaysia and will be used to deliver and manage the online training and development efforts for approximately 70,000 police officers initially, growing to over 100,000 RMP employees in 2007.
Asiasoft responded to and was the winning vendor for an LMS Request for Proposal («RFP») solicitation released by the RMP in the fall of 2005 and partnered with OnPoint to design and deliver a cost effective and flexible solution to meet the stated requirements of the proposal. The eighteen-month solicitation process included a successful pilot project and technology evaluation by Asiasoft that ensured system scalability and integrity. Installation support for the pilot and the production release were provided by OnPoint resources in the US supplemented by technical resources located in OnPoint's New Zealand-based Development Center.
