Mr. Yves Marmet, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZoomMed Inc. (TSX-V: ZMD), is pleased to announce that the corporation today signed a commercial collaboration agreement with ADN Medical, which has been offering computer services, to more than 4,500 doctors in Québec for over 15 years.
This agreement marks an important step in the planned deployment of the electronic "ZRx Prescriber", which is being developed by ZoomMed. The agreement aims to integrate their respective software and to collaborate closely on their promotion and marketing.
The innovative "ZRx Prescriber" includes a portable "Palm" type computer system, equipped with a therapeutic advisor for various drugs and a user friendly interface for their prescription. Doctors, having all the relevant information as to the drug to be prescribed, will be able to write prescriptions and electronically transmit them to pharmacists in a fast and secure way, thereby changing the way drugs are prescribed, benefiting patients, governments, doctors, pharmacists, insurers and pharmaceutical companies.
Mr. Marmet declared: "This transaction is a first step in our partnership development strategy to facilitate the marketing of our product. With this agreement, ZoomMed will have direct access to ADN Medical's present client base, about 4,500 doctors throughout Québec. This will propel the deployment of the "ZRx Prescriber"."
